Treatment
Most patients with a hernia don’t experience any pain or symptoms and might not need treatment, but if a hernia is growing and causing pain, a surgeon may choose to operate.
In most cases, a surgeon will use a Laparoscopic Procedure to treat a hernia. During the surgery, a surgeon inserts special surgical tools along with a camera by making several small incisions in the abdomen area to view images from inside a body displayed on a screen and perform the operation.
All hernias are not suitable for laparoscopic surgery, your surgeon will determine which type of surgical procedure is best depending on the condition.
