CCT (Completion of Certificate of Training) certified from the United Kingdom and with a training experience of over 18 years from the UK and USA, Dr. Mustafa Javed specializes in treating knee, shoulder, and hip disorders along with all sports-related injuries.
Overview
With more than 3500 procedures under his cap, Dr. Mustafa Javed uses the most advanced, world-class open arthroscopic “key-hole” surgical techniques to restore joints, ligaments, and bones. Since his addition to the team, he has performed over 200 complex procedures (open and arthroscopic) which have never been done in Pakistan before.
Upon finishing his orthopedic training from Yorkshire rotation in the United Kingdom, Dr. Mustafa was awarded the FRCS degree in Trauma and Orthopedics. He is regarded as the most proficient surgeon for procedures related to fractures and joint replacement in knees, elbows, and shoulders.
After receiving super-specialized training in complex fracture management from the University of Szeged, Hungary, Sports Injury Surgery from Cardiff and Vale Orthopedic Centre UK, he mastered “Key-hole” surgery from the top three world-class centers in the USA including Mayo Clinic, John Hopkins, and San Antonio Orthopedic Group. He has also received a Joint Replacement Surgery fellowship at Chesterfield Royal Hospital, UK.
Dr. Mustafa Javed joined Scunthorpe General Hospital, UK in 2017 as a full-time Orthopedic Consultant where he served a large catchment area offering complex orthopedic services including joint replacement and ligament reconstruction.
For the love of his country, Dr. Mustafa Javed has now returned to Pakistan to join Maroof International Hospital as a Consultant Orthopedic Surgeon where he is working along with other expert surgeons to serve the people of his nation.
Dr. Mustafa not only shares his knowledge through local and international publications but is a reviewer for some of the esteemed medical journals such as the British Journal of General Practice and Journals under PlosOne Publications. He is also a faculty member at Sheffield, Chesterfield, and Derby FRCS course where he is invited every year to share his knowledge with aspiring new doctors and surgeons.
